This month we have a walk from the Peeping Tom in Burton Green. This is in response to a request, as one of our number wants to eat the carvery there, whilst it is also an opportunity to walk some more of the Kenilworth Greenway before HS2 ploughs through it

We met at the PEEPING TOM at 12 noon and at 12.30 head off north on Cromwell Lane to pick up the path to Nailcote Hall. We skirt the golf course and cross Nailcote Lane. At the next lane we turn right and over the railway bridge. Here there is a good view of the west portal of Berswell Tunnel. Then we take the path to Jasmine Cottage. Across Truggist Lane we follow field paths and over Baulk Lane to reach Lavender Hall Fisheries. Here we recross the railway line and reach the RAILWAY for 2.00. Admittedly this is not the most direct route, but it does avoid any road walking and we get to see the lakes at the fishery.

Leaving at 2.30 it is a short walk through the fields behind the garage to reach Kenilworth Greenway. This then gives us a level and reasonably straight walk back to Burton Green and the PEEPING TOM for 3.30.
