This is an excellent walk through farmland that I only discovered after Terry had encouraged me to use the MASSEY FEGUSON CLUB, although I have frequently delivered the post to this area. The Club is ideally placed on the edge of Coventry, but it only provides snacks, you won,t be able to get a full Sunday roast there.

Massey Ferguson Club
We meet at the club at 12 noon and set off at 12.30, taking a path through the fields behind the old factory site, now a housing estate. At the football pitch we turn right and head out to Benton Green.

York Cottage
Here we pass Tudor House, The Latch and York Cottage before crossing more fields to Berkswell, where the BEAR awaits us at about 1.30.

The Bear at Berkswell
After 30 minutes at the Bear we can walk into the centre of the village and perhaps have a look round the medaeval church of St John with its crypt.

We then take a path past the churchyard to Meriden Road. A little distance along and Blind Lane leads off to the right. This passes Blind Hall and Blind Hall Cottage before we enter fields that lead to Hill House.

Blind Hall
Along a track we reach Hill House Cottage, where we turn left into Broad Lane.

At Hawk Rise we turn right into fields again to avoid any more road walking on the way back to the CLUB for about 3.30.
