THIS PREMISES HAS BEEN KNOWN BY DIFFERENT NAMES DURING ITS HISTORY
In the 1841 census John Hunt was a baker in carpenters Lane. By 1851 he was a baker and beer house keeper and by 1861 a licensed victualler at the Swan Inn. By 1871 his son, John Croft Hunt had taken over as baker and beer retailer.
