NAME SQUIRREL INN
ADDRESS 31 LITTLE PARK STREET
The National school was formed in Coventry in 1813 in buildings on the west side of Little Park Street which later became the Squirrel when the school moved to Union Street in 1825. The pub lasted almost a century until, in 1923, it closed on payment of compensation.

1813 Poole P281 The National School and its society was formed in Coventry in the year 1813, and its business was conducted in buildings on the west side of Little Park Street, occupying the site where now stand the Squirrel public house and tenaments adjoining. Here it continued to be held for about twelve years, when it was transferred to the new erection in Union Street

1825 JBS Inn opened. Formerly part of the first National School in Coventry
