Here is what we think is the only comprehensive record of pubs and beerhouses within the Coventry city boundaries going back as far as available records allow. in 1851 Francis Bailey, 44, is a coal miner at 22 Randles End. By 1861 he is 54 and a publican at the Boat, Grange Road. In 1871 ther are no matching records.
