Here is what we think is the only comprehensive record of pubs and beerhouses within the Coventry city boundaries going back as far as available records allow. LATER KNOWN AS FLEECE, GOLDEN FLEECE HOTEL c1820

In 1845 it was listed as the Beerhouse, Courthouse Green.

To 1820 see the FLEECE. The Golden Fleece closed c1994 and has been replaced by a housing estate.
