Here is what we think is the only comprehensive record of pubs and beerhouses within the Coventry city boundaries going back as far as available records allow. THIS BECAME HALF MOON INN c1868

In 1850 this was the Beerhouse, Yardley Street. In the 1841 census there are no matching records. In 1851 Christopher Warner, 41, is a licensed victualler in Yardley Street. By 1861 there are no matching records again.

This had a full public house license from 1868 In 1940 this pub was bombed and on its site the Corporation built a 10 storey block of flats.
