Here is what we think is the only comprehensive record of pubs and beerhouses within the Coventry city boundaries going back as far as available records allow. In the 1841 census Thomas Glaze is 61, a retail brewer at Hertford Terrace, Butts Lane, married to Elizabeth Glaze, 60. In 1851 Elizabeth Glaze, a widow, 68, is a licensed victualler in Hertford Place.

In 1835 Thomas Glaze is at the Stag and Pheasant in Lockhurst Lane. There are no other mentions of Glaze in the website.
