The Apple Tree

In 1742 Mr Gummery at the Apple Tree was presented by the Constables for a broken pavement. Then in 1747 it is refered to as a messuage on the west side of Much Park Street known as the ' Appletree '. The Apple Tree in the High Street mentioned in 1778 must be the same place.
